Blast on Quetta’s Qambrani road, five injured

QUETTA, Pakistan: An explosion took place near a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) in Quetta City of Pakistan’s western Balochistan province on Friday that left at least five people including thee security personnel injured.

The sources said that a convoy of FC vehicles was targeted on Qambrani road through a remote-controlled bomb.

The explosive device was planted alongside the road.

The injured persons were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment.

It was the second blast with 48 hours in Quetta as on Thursday as well five people sustained injuries when unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade on Kawari Road.

1,350 kg explosive material recovered from Qilla Abdullah

Separately, addressing a news conference in Quetta, the DIG FC Brigadier Tahir Mehmood told that 1,350 kilograms explosive material has been recovered from Balochistan’s Qilla Abdullah district during a search operation.

The DIG FC said that the scope of the operation is being broadened in the province.

On the occasion, the Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti that the provincial government will restore law and order in the province at every cost.

The Balochistan home minister said that the operations against terrorists are going on as per the anti-terror national action plan. He asked terrorists to surrender before the law, otherwise be ready to face the music.
