NEW DELHI: At least 13 election officials and soldiers were killed when two separate bombs set by suspected Maoist rebels went off in the eastern Indian state of Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
In the first incident, seven persons were killed when a bomb exploded in a bus carrying election officials in Bijapur.
In the second incident, an ambulance was hit by a roadside bomb in Bastar region killing six personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
