South Korean premier to visit Pakistan tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won will arrive in Islamabad on a four-day visit to Pakistan on Sunday for high-level talks on boosting political and economic cooperation.

Chung will be the top South Korean government official to visit Pakistan since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1983.

The South Korean premier will hold a series of meetings with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, culture and development sectors, with a focus on helping South Korean businesses expand into the South Asian nation.

Chung Hong-won will be the chief guest at the ‘Korea Pakistan Investment Cooperation Forum’ jointly organized by Board of Investment Pakistan and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency on April 14.

During his visit, Chung will also meet Korean community and visit Shakkar Parian to plant a sapling. He will also visit National Monument in Islamabad.
