KARACHI: At least three people were killed while several others were injured when a bomb went off near Indus Complex at Sohrab Goth in Karachi on Wednesday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
According to earlier reports, the explosive device, planted in a motorcycle detonated outside a mosque, however, later on police claimed that the bomb went off near a drug dealers’ den.
Soon after the blast, relief and police teams rushed to the blast place and shifted the victims to hospital. The blast-stricken area has been cordoned off with Rangers and police.
Meanwhile, two persons including a Sub Inspector of Police were injured when unknown attackers hurled at least two crackers at the cops near Edhi’s mortuary in Sohrab Goth. The assailants fled the scene.
“We heard two blasts in the vicinity, which prompted us to rush to the scene where we found two people injured including a police officer”, rescue sources told Dispatch News Desk (DND).
