Lahore, Pakistan: CCPO Umar Sheikh, a man having invisible powers has finally removed from the post of Lahore Capital City Police Officer CCPO).
He made his chief transferred and for whom Federal Government, as well as the provincial government of Punjab, face brunt is posted as Inspector General of Police/Deputy Commandant, Punjab Constabulary, Farooqabad against a vacant post.
PSP cadre officer Umar Sheikh has been replaced with PSP officer Ghulam Mehmood Dogar who had been DIG Operations in Lahore and also served provincial capital of Punjab as its chief traffic officer.
A notification issued by the Punjab Services and General Administration Department and signed by the chief secretary, stated: “Muhammad Umar Sheikh (PSP/BS-20), Lahore Capital City Police Officer (in his own pay and scale) is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Deputy Commandant, Punjab Constabulary, Farooqabad against a vacant post.”
He was known for his invisible powers for survival despite his unusual conduct and behaviour with his senior as well as junior officers.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Buzdar had been vocal in his support in past whenever he was in hot waters. PM Imran Khan and CM Buzdar had been citing his name as an example of honesty and professionalism.
