RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday and discussed matters of mutual interest, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
In a press release, the ISPR said that the regional security and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (COAS) also came under discussion.
The ambassador appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements and sacrifices for peace and stability in the region.
Earlier, the civil and military leadership which included the COAS, DG ISI and federal ministers among others in a high level meeting at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi today discussed various issues related to external and internal security situation of the country including CPEC.
