The sources said that the COAS will take British military and political leadership into confidence over Pakistan’s perspective on the regional security situation, with particular reference to Afghanistan and eastern borders.
The COAS is also expected to brief British leaders on Pakistan’s war against terror and the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb.
His visit to UK comes a day after the US Secretary of State John Kerry held a meeting with him at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, John Kerry lauded Pakistan’s commitment to fight terrorism and also appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in the Zarb-e-Azb, a full-fledged military operation being conducted in the northwestern tribal region against various banned militant outfits since June 15 last year.
