COVID-19 positive ratio in Pakistan falls to 6.8%

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID-19 positive ratio in Pakistan fell to 6.8% as out of 53,644 people tested for Coronavirus on August 15, 3,669 were found positive while 72 infected people succumbed to the disease.

The latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning showed that in the last 24 hours, 26 people died of Coronavirus in Sindh, 25 in Punjab, 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 2 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 1 each in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, the Country has recorded a total of 1,102,079 Coronavirus Cases.

Out of them, 412,165 Cases have surfaced in Sindh, 372,750 in Punjab, 152,625 in KPK, 94,108 in ICT, 31,583 in Balochistan, 29,452 AJK, and 9,396 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, the COVID death toll across Pakistan has reached 24,478. Of them, 11,372 deaths have been recorded in Punjab, 6,439 in Sindh, 4,668 in KPK, 834 in Islamabad, 666 in AJK, 335 in Balochistan, and 164 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Currently, 88,588 COVID patients are under treatment across the Country while 989,013 people have fully recovered now.
