ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID vaccination for 12-15 years students will remain suspended till November 27 due to ongoing Measles (Rubella) MR Campaign nationwide, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) was told.
In its Morning Session held in Islamabad on Monday, the forum was apprised about the ongoing Countrywide obligatory vaccine regime.
During the last 48 hours, 1.7 million vaccines were administered across the Country.
National MR campaign will be conducted from 15-27 November 2021 during which children aged 9 Months to 15 years will be inoculated. COVID vaccine administration for children between 12-15 years will, therefore, remain suspended from 15-27 November 2021.

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders involved in ensuring vaccine administration to citizens in every City.
The forum especially appreciated Cities which achieved excellent vacations with more than 50 % Narowal, including Jehlum, Mandi Bahauddin, Peshawar, Bhimber, Bagh, Mirpur, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghizer, and Islamabad for achieving excellent vaccination rate by vaccinating more than 50% of their respective population.

Asad Umer emphasised on all stakeholders that the vaccination rate should be maintained.
Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sialkot, Mianwali, Kallar Kahar, Hafizabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Karachi, Chitral, Charsadda, Balakot, Jehlum Valley, Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Hunza and Kharmang were also lauded for vaccinating more than 40% of citizens.
The forum was briefed about the mechanism for carrying out necessary COVID protocols and vaccination mechanism for pedestrian crossing into Pakistan from land borders.
The forum emphasized on stepping up the administration of the second COVID dose to eligible individuals so as to sufficiently raise the immunity level of the population for long-term dividends.
