The Pakistan Navy Ship PNS ALAMGIR participated in the Multinational Exercise Dogu Akdeniz-21 in AKSAZ, Turkey.

The Vice-Admiral Zahid Ilyas represented the Pakistan Navy in the exercise.

During the stay, the Vice-Admiral Zahid Ilyas, the Mission Commander, and the Commanding Officer met the Turkish Naval high-ranking officials.

The Exercise Dogu Akdeniz-21 is aimed to ensure the safety and security of seas.

The Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR also participated in the bilateral Exercise Turgutreis-Vi with Turkish Navy ships wherein various tactical and seamanship drills were undertaken.

Exercise Dogu Akdeniz

The Dogu Akdeniz or East Mediterranean is an annual INVITEX hosted and led by the Turkish Navy that aims to strengthen the relationships between friendly and ally nations, enhance cooperation, combined combat capability, and interoperability.

The exercise provides operational training for participating units in planning and conducting anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and basic seamanship in a multi-threat environment.
