KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad has reportedly resigned from his post over targeted operations conducted by the law enforcement agencies in Karachi.
Ebad, who held the post of governor since December 27, 2002, reportedly faxed his resignation to the President House which the latter confirmed that it had received Ebad’s resignation.
Ebad was asked by the top Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leadership to quit the office, sources said.
Meanwhile, Ebad left for Dubai along with his family on a private visit late Friday. He will leave for Singapore from there.
