KARACHI: Unknown assailants opened fire in Model Colony area of Karachi on Saturday morning killing Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mumtaz Ali Shah, police said.
Police said that DSP Mumtaz Ali Shah was leaving for work in his car when two unknown armed attackers opened fire on his car in Karachi’s Model Colony near his house.
Shah was injured in firing incident and rushed to hospital but he succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital.
Police said that DSP Mumtaz Ali Shah was deployed at the Landhi jail.
