KARACHI: On 11th April, 2014, singing diva Komal Rizvi will be hosting the star studded unveiling of her ambitious music video Kalli Kalli which is a collaborative effort with her brother, ace choreographer, Hasan Rizvi.
The music video has generated quite a lot of buzz even before its launch. Fans along with the entire entertainment and music industry, are waiting anxiously to see what this talented sister-brother duo has come up with together.
The music video is innovative in terms of concept, featuring stunning underwater and aerial shots along with breath taking choreography by Hasan and his team at Body Beat. The video has been directed by award winning Sohail Javed who is one of Pakistan’s top directors at present, with several high profile projects to his credit. Music has been given by Saad Hayat, styling has been done by the fantastic Beenish Parvez and wardrobe is by Humayoun Alamgir and Zohra Alam.
As a song Kalli Kalli is a wonderful and whimsical musical piece. The melody is an honorable tribute to the great Music Director, Akhtar Hussain, who composed a similar melody for the movie Patey Khan in 1955. The song and video are conceptualized around the 4 elements i.e. Earth, Fire, Water & Wind – subtly calling for the human race to come back, be grateful for, and have respect for our most basic gifts from the Almighty.
Kalli Kalli’s launch event will be taking place at an undisclosed venue with the glitterati of Karachi present. Leading media will also be there to cover the event. Komal and Hasan will be speaking about the video and their experience of working together. Komal will also be performing for guests.
Excited about the event, Komal said “This is the third collaboration between Hasan and me. We are expecting a lot of close friends and celebrities to come and support us. I hope everyone present at the event has a good time and love the song as we have made it with a lot of love”.
