CAIRO: At least eight people were killed and several others were injured in massive protests across the North African country.
Anti-government protesters in Egypt stormed the national headquarters of President Muhammed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood in the capital‚ Cairo.
People are reported to have ransacked the building in the eastern Moqattam district and also set it on fire.
Protesters across Egypt have accused the President Morsi of failing to tackle economic and security problems since being elected a year ago.
Meanwhile‚ a presidential spokesman told media in Cairo that dialogue is the only way to ease the tension in the country.
