MediaPresident AJK awards ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to The Express Tribune

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) awarded a “Certificate of Appreciation” to The Express Tribune for its outstanding performance, contribution, and dedication in journalism.

The Certificate was awarded by former President Sardar Masood to the Editor of The Express Tribune Naveed Hussain, terming the newspaper ‘a breath of fresh air in Pakistan’s English journalism both in content and layout.’

“I want to especially thank you for consistently and prominently highlighting the Kashmir issue,’ the former AJK president said that in the Certificate.

The former AJK president said that The Express Tribune in its all editions has not only moved Kashmir to the front pages but also introduced a designated page for Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

“Your district and striking Kashmir header has raised awareness about Kashmir and developed a sharp focus on Kashmir-related issues,” he wrote.

Masood Khan further said that the coverage of Kashmir by The Express Tribune has been a constant source of support and strength for the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially the besieged people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).

“I congratulate the entire team of The Express Tribune under your (Naveed Hussain) dynamic leadership for promoting professional journalism and setting the highest standards in the field,” the former AJK president said.
