ABU DHABI: The former chairman of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqeer Sadiq has been shifted to the Central Jail Abu Dhabi, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Thursday.
The ex-OGRA chairman is accused for causing a massive 82 billion rupee loss to the national exchequer.
The sources said that owner of Al Noor Bakers has claimed that Tauqeer Sadiq came to Dubai on his visa and he later fled away. The statement of Al Noor Bakers’ owner has paved the way for extradition of Tauqeer Sadiq to Pakistan, sources added.
Sadiq could be deported within two or three days, a private TV channel quoting its sources reported.
