KARACHI, Pakistan: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has announced to challenge the result of general election 2018 held in NA-245 Karachi East-IV, in which he had lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
Talking to media in Karachi on Saturday, Farooq Sattar informed about his decision of challenging the election result of NA-245, and said that I will present all evidences and witnesses.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that i am very hopeful that decision will be in my favor.
MQM-P couldn’t seal as much National Assembly Seats in 2018 elections as it was anticipating but it joined the PTI-led federal government yet, having occupying a couple ministries such as the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, and the Ministry for Law and Justice.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI bagged a number of seats from Karachi earlier won by MQM in 2013 general elections.
Earlier this month, Farooq Sattar tendered his resignation from the MQM-P Rabita Committee citing personal reasons.
