ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has directed security agencies to take necessary precautions for the security of the Diplomatic Missions in Islamabad.
Referring to the news in sections of the media regarding closure of Embassies in Islamabad, the Foreign Office Spokesperson clarified that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has neither received nor issued any such advice.
The spokesperson said it is the responsibility of the government to protect all diplomatic missions and personnel.
The embassies have also been advised to exercise caution while moving around in the city, the spokesperson said.
