QUETTA: An FIR was registered against Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal on Monday for allegedly threatening Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar on telephone.
Abdul Qadir Sheikh, a police officer in Khuzdar Police Station where FIR was lodged against BNP-M chief, said that Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Muhammad Ayaz Mandokhail lodged a complaint against the BNP-M chief, alleging that Mengal issued serious life threats against him.
However, sources close to BNP-M chief denied the claims of Deputy Commissioner and termed it an attempt to press Mengal’s voice for Baloch rights and resources.
