KABUL, Afghanistan: The Taliban insurgents opened fire on a car in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar on Friday, killing at least five persons and injuring two others.
The spokesman for the provincial police Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal said that the attack took place as the car carrying a total of seven civilians was driving through Khogyani district around 6 am.
Mashraqiwal said that police was investigating the incident.
