ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has removed head of the National Counter terrorism Authority (NACTA) Khawaja Muhammad Ashraf from his office on Wednesday and ruled that the authority’s control be handed over to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The IHC judge Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi announced the verdict after hearing a petition filed against NACTA.
In his verdict, Justice Qureshi also voided all decisions taken by NACTA head Khawaja Ashraf during his tenure.
