ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In his very first address to the nation after his 22-year old political struggle steered him to the Premiership, the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday pledged to follow a role model of ‘Madina State’ while ruling the Country for next five years.
In his address, Imran Khan covered a host of issues from domestic to foreign policy, and also vowed that his government would never resort to political victimization against his opponents.
The Chairman PTI said he would consult his government, and would allocate governor houses for public welfare. He also said they would initiate the accountability process from the top, adding neither he nor his ministers would be exempted from accountability.
Imran Khan also said he would endeavor his best to reform the institutions, and collect taxes. He said no one would be above the all in the Country, and whosoever got caught while being involved in corrupt practices, would be brought to justice.
Talking about the rigging allegations leveled by opposition parties, Imran Khan said it was Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) which appointed the ECP Officials and formed the interim government.
Imran Khan said they were ready to extend full cooperation to the opposition parties for carrying out an investigation into rigging. He said if opponents wanted to open certain Constituencies for rigging probe, they would be granted full assistance in that regard.
