KOTLI: A mortar shell fired by Indian troops exploded in Dantoot village in the Nakyal sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, killing a boy and injuring another one.
Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain, deputy commissioner Kotli, said that two boys – identified as Muhammad Anis and Habibur Rehman – found the mortar shell in a field where their animals were grazing.
Meanwhile, the mortar shell, which had been allegedly fired by Indian troops some time back, exploded that left Anis dead and Rehman critically injured.
Both the boys were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Kotli.
