ISLAMABAD: Following the intelligence agencies reports that the Benazir International Airport may witness a potential terror attack, security has been beefed up at the airport, sources said late Tuesday night.
According to sources, additional contingents of police and commandos have been deployed at the airport while SSP operations has also visited the facility to review the security arrangements.
On late Monday night, militants launched an audacious attack on Dera Ismail Khan’s Central Prison, Pakistan’s one of the most guarded detention facilities, freeing 243 inmates.
