AMMAN: A Royal Jordanian airlines airplane has reportedly been hijacked in Libyan capital Tripoli on Monday, according to foreign media.
According to reports, unknown armed groups hijacked the airplane when it was about to take off for Amman, the capital of Jordan, in Tripoli International Airport.
The Libyan or Jordanian authorities have not made any announcement so far.
The reports said that the International Tripoli Airport was besieged by armed groups and all flights were transferred to be conducted from Mitiga International Airport on Sunday night.
