QUETTA: The JUI-F has announced its 22-point election manifesto pledging to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state.
Announcing the manifesto at a press conference in Quetta on Thursday‚ JUI-F Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari said the official religion of the state will be Islam and a comprehensive system of Islamic laws will be evolved for the country.
He said that budget for education will be increased by 15 percent and separate universities will be established for men and women.
Abdul Ghafoor Haidari said education will be made compulsory up to matriculation level and free up to bachelor level.
He said the minorities will enjoy the right to establish their religious education centres.
