ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan said on Wednesday that the federal government would address all reservations expressed by Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) over ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.
In his telephonic conversation with MQM leader Babar Ghauri, the interior minister said that the government would probe into arrest of innocent people and MQM’s reservations will be addressed over Karachi operation.
Ghauri forwarded his party’s reservations over targeted operation in the city during talks with the interior minister, saying that they supported operation against criminals but innocent people are being arrested by the security agencies in Karachi.
Earlier, the MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi told a press conference in Karachi that some elements were sabotaging the operation.
