ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Wednesday criticized the attitude of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief saying workers were getting beaten up on the streets while Imran Khan was sleeping at Bani Gala.
Talking to media persons at his chamber in the Parliament House Islamabad, Khursheed Shah said that in politics a leader led his workers but in PTI’s case leaders stayed locked inside rooms.
Khursheed Shah said that the PTI workers were sick and tired of the party’s protest and sit-ins.
The opposition leader said that his party had submitted their terms of reference (TORs) in the Parliament and demanded the government to accept their four-point agenda.
Imran Khan called off PTI’s planned sit-in in the Federal Capital on November 2, seeking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation or his accountability, and announced a public gathering which he termed as “Thanksgiving Day” after the Supreme Court of Pakistan took up the Panama Papers issue and sought replies from Sharif family.
