ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court on Wednesday decided to take special security measures on November 3, the day a larger bench will take up the Panama Leaks case.

For proper court decorum and smooth functioning of the Supreme Court, the entry will be regulated through special security passes. Only the petitioners and respondents whose cases have been fixed in court will be allowed to enter the premises.

However, advocates and journalists who regularly come for Supreme Court proceedings will be exempted from passes, a press release issued by the Supreme Court here on Wednesday said.

With regard to general public who want to witness the proceedings of the case, Superintendent of Police (Security) Supreme Court Building may be contacted for security passes.

Entry into the building will be allowed after checking. No cell phones will be allowed in the courtroom.

The Supreme Court administration has directed authorities concerned to strictly follow the instructions and cooperate with the security staff on duty in the court premises. Security personnel have also been directed to deal with the visitors with utmost courtesy.
