PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet on Tuesday announced to donate one month salary to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan agency.
The announcement was made by the provincial finance minister Sirajul Haq while speaking on a point of order at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly on Tuesday.
The finance minister appealed to the people of entire province to come forward and join government’s efforts in handling the IDPs.
Punjab govt dispatches food items for IDPs
The Punjab government has dispatched 50 trucks loaded with food items for the IDPs of South Waziristan agency.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that not only the people of Punjab province but the whole nation is standing with the IDPs. He assured that the Punjab government will continue its assistance for the IDPs till their rehabilitation.
The Chief Minister appealed the philanthropists to come forward and donate generously for the IDPs.
Sindh govt announces Rs50 million for IDPs
The Sindh government has also announced Rs50 million for the IDPs of North Waziristan agency.
The announcement was made by the provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon in Karachi. He said that the workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have also donated blood to Pakistan army.
