BANGKOK: A Laos air force plane with 20 people including the defence minister on board crashed in the country’s northeastern province of Xiang Khoung, a Thai official said.
In a statement, the Thai foreign ministry spokesman Sek Wannamethee said that there was no immediate report of casualties in the disaster.
Besides the defence ministerDouangchay Phichit, those on board the plane included the governor of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and other prominent figures.
