LAHORE, Pakistan: The Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar visited the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore on Monday.
Talking to media at the Jinnah Hospital, the MD PBM said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal is committed to mitigate the sufferings of the poor patients making the procedure easier for treatment in Public Sector Hospitals.
Malik Zaheer Abbas expressed his motivation towards quick relief to the poor patients suffering from cancer, cardiac, kidney, thalassemia, and other major or minor diseases.
Reiterating the government’s resolution for accommodating the vulnerable community, he said that that the PBM, with its vibrant and effective pro-poor services, is one of the main components of the government’s social security system under the umbrella of the Ehsass Programme.
The managing director PBM said that digital transformation and e-governance is already being introduced within the organization to accelerate its humanitarian services.
The MD PBM further highlighted his determination to work on effective and comprehensive strategies to address poverty and its allied issues so that our future generation may not suffer the thorny issues of poverty.
On the occasion, the managing director PBM paid a visit to different wards of the Hospital and met with the PBM sponsored patients to ease their problems in treatment.
Later on, he also visited the Jinnah Burn Unit built collaboratively by the PBM and the Jinnah Hospital.
Malik Zaheer Abbas also met with the patients under treatment and presented gifts to them.
