ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday visited the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Headquarters in Islamabad.

The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, the Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, and the Defence Minister Pervez Khattak accompanied the prime minister.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, and the Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu.

During his visit, the prime minister was given an extensive briefing on the internal and external security issues by the Director-General ISI Lt General Faiz Hameed.

The prime minister was also briefed about the Daesh threat inside Pakistan, the Pak-Afghan border, and the US forces’ withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The prime minister appreciated the capabilities of the ISI against the challenges related to national security.
