PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said the country was passing through a difficult period and the nation was united against any kind of aggression.
While addressing oath taking ceremony of the newly elected members of Chamber of Small Traders and small Industry in Peshawar on Friday, the governor said the country had been facing multifarious challenges for the last four decades but due to efforts of Pakistan Army, militancy was de-escalating day by day.
The governor said that during operation Zarb-e-Azb, Pak Army, Security forces and tribal people gave matchless sacrifices that brought peace and prosperity back to the country..
Jhagra said that time was changing day by day and the necessity of starting business and trade activities from new angle was paramount. He also appreciated the role of business community in developmental works in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
On the occasion, outgoing president, newly elected president Shakeel Ahmed Saraf, Ex- Minister Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Atif Haleem and other members of business community were also present.
The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said China Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) would play a role of game changer and bring prosperity for this land. At the end he congratulated the newly elected members of chamber of small traders.
Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also met a delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Haji Muhammad Afzal.
The governor was apprised about the problems of business community and assured to provide full support to solve the problems of business community.
