NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will hold important talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday and will discuss bilateral relations and regional as well as international issues.
Sharif attended the Indian Prime Minister-elect Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Monday in the forecourt of the majestic Rashtrapati Bhawan.
During the meeting between Sharif and the newly elected Indian prime minister, the two sides will also explore mean to remove tensions on the Line of Control (LoC).
The Pakistani prime minister is also scheduled to hold meeting with the Indian President Mukherjee.
Meanwhile, Sharif accompanied by Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit paid a visit to Jamia Masjid New Delhi
On his arrival at the mosque, the prime minister was received by the Imam of the Mosque Syed Ahmed Bukhari.
