ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Counter Terrorisms Authority (NACTA) to take immediate action against the financial sponsors of terrorists.
In a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday to discuss ways to get control on the financial resources of the terrorists, the minister also directed both the institutions to take stringent measures for overcoming financial assistance of the terrorists.
The interior minister stressed the needs for enhancing cooperation between the FIA and State Bank of Pakistan in this regard.
The minister said that war against terrorists is difficult but it is not impossible to win and the government is determined to wipe out all costs.
In the meeting, the FIA authorities presented details of doubtful bank accounts and informed that investigations are underway to reach the real hands behind these accounts.
