ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) will arrange various training programmes for female writers and young scholars of the country.
“During training programmes, the young writers would be trained in essay, story, article, feature and poetry writing skills, besides lectures were also given on writing stories vis-a-vis issues of women and children in the society,” Chairman PAL Dr Muhammad Qasim Bughio told APP.
He said that literature has deep rooted relation with the society as it is said that literature is the mirror of society.
“Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) not only preserves this heritage but also promotes and develops it by organizing conferences, seminars and workshops at various forums at home and abroad,” he added.
He said PAL also looks after the welfare of the writers, poets and scholars and provides them with essential support and encouragement in intellectuals pursuits.
Ayesha Malik, a young writer and poet appreciated Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) for announcing to organize a training workshop for the young writers, specially the female young scholars.
She was of the view that women can play a significant role in the building of a nation.
