ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will sign agreements with China next month for 10,400 megawatt projects of electricity generation in the country, the water and power minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif told a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.
The minister said that a delegation will go to China for this purpose next week.
Khawaja Asif said that these projects to be executed with Chinese assistance will include hydle, wind and coal which will generate cheap electricity to overcome energy shortage in the country.
Moreover, the minister said that it will be a foreign direct investment in the energy sector as China will provide loans to the executing companies of these projects.
