MILAN, Italy: The special assistant to the prime minister on foreign affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi has said that Pakistan is committed to constructive and result-oriented dialogue to build peace and stability in South Asia.
Fatemi made these remarks in meetings with world leaders on the sideline of the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit in the Italian city of Milan.
His meetings were held with Presidents of South Korea and Switzerland, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Foreign Ministers of China, Russia, Norway, Kazakhstan, Laos and the British Minister of State.
During the meeting, the special assistant briefed world leaders on regional security situation, especially the unprovoked shelling by Indian forces.
Tariq Fatemi said that Pakistan wants a peaceful and stable Afghanistan as it is important for lasting peace and stability in the region.
