SHANGHAI: President Mamnoon Hussain held a meeting with his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa on the sidelines of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) summit in the Chinese city of Shanghai and discussed a whole gamut of issues.
During the meeting, the president Mamnoon underlined the need for regional countries to forge close cooperation for the socio-economic betterment of their people.
The president Mamnoon said that it is important for the regional countries to strengthen bilateral and multifaceted cooperation. He underlined the need for the two countries to continue working closely to sustain and build on the useful linkages.
The Pakistani president reiterated his country’s support towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of Sri Lanka. He stressed the need for greater efforts on both sides to translate the existing excellent relationship of the two countries into economic and commercial terms.
