WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani said on Friday that that Pakistan and the US are focusing on moving towards a broad-based, comprehensive and strategic partnership through dialogue process.
In his address at Asia Society in Washington on Friday, the ambassador underlined the need for addressing the irritants like US drone strikes.
The ambassador gave a detailed overview of the government’s efforts to overcome the challenges in security, economy, and energy sectors.
On Pakistan-India relations, the ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to resolve all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir through a meaningful dialogue. He expressed the hoped India will reciprocate Pakistan’s sincere efforts positively.
