MOSCOW: Pakistan’s first Cubesat satellite ‘ICUBE-1’ was launched on Thursday, a significant milestone in the country’s space program as it will motivate the students and youngster to take part in the future satellite development program of Pakistan, the assistant director Institute of Space Technology (IST) said.
The IST launched ‘ICUBE-1’ on-board Dnepr launch vehicle from Yasny launch base in Russia.
In a statement in Islamabad, the IST assistant director Raza Butt said that the Cubesat satellite will open a wide vista of future experiments that can be carried on Cubesats in the domain of imaging, microgravity, biology, nano technology, space dynamics, chemistry, and space physics.
