ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to attend the Sessions of the Parliament from next week, a positive development which would help quell the onslaught of the opposition over his reluctance to step-in the legislature.
Sources said that the prime minister would attend the Session of the Parliament next week. They said that the prime minister would arrive in the Parliament on Wednesday (January 23) on the eve of presenting of the Mini Budget by the Finance Minister Asad Umar in the National Assembly.
Sources said that Imran Khan is awaiting the formation of the Standing Committees to attend the Parliament Sessions regularly.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly resumed its Session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Thursday with the Speaker Asad Qaiser in the Chair.
Prior to the Mini Budget, Imran Khan would take a two-day visit to Qatar from January 21-22 on the invitation of the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani.
