Government of PakistanPM Imran Khan urges CM Balochistan to start Health Card Scheme

ZIARAT, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday urged the Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan to start the Health Card Scheme on the pattern of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide health coverage to the people of his province.

In his address at a ceremony at Quaid-e-Azam Residency in Ziarat, the prime minister said the government was pursuing a policy of inclusive development, particularly focusing on less developed areas to bring them at par with other parts of the Country.

The prime minister said Balochistan, Interior Sindh, Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Southern Punjab were ignored in the past. He said the federal government had given a package of worth Rs 700 billion for the development of Balochistan and was going to announce another package for roads and highways.

Imran Khan said it was unfortunate that even the funds allocated for Balochistan in the past had been misappropriated. He assured that he would diligently work for the establishment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The prime minister said Ziarat had great potential for tourism which needed to be developed to generate economic activities in the area.
