ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has rejected a summary sent by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), seeking an increase in prices of all petroleum products from June 1.
The OGRA had suggested an increase of Rs1.3 per litre in the price of petrol, followed by Rs1.81 per litre in the price of high speed diesel, Re0.80 in light speed diesel, 0.62 paisa in Kerosene Oil and Rs2.62 in high octane diesel.
However, the prime minister said that the government will give Rs1.5 billion subsidy for maintaining the prices of petroleum at the existing level.
