KABUL: A roadside bomb explosion took place in Giro District of Afghanistan’s eastern Ghazni province on Saturday, killing at least 12 persons including seven women, an official said.
The district governor Abdullah Khairkhwah said that the victims were coming back from a wedding ceremony when the blast occurred.
“Twelve civilians were killed, seven of them were women, and the rest were men, as their minivan vehicles hit a roadside bomb,” Khairkhwah said.
