KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party is observing black day on Friday to mark the dismissal of its government in a military coup on this day in 1977.
PPP Patron in Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the overthrowing of democratically elected government of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by the then Army Chief General Ziaul Haq.
He paid great homage to late Bhutto for his visionary leadership.
President Asif Ali Zardari said people’s democratic ethos cannot be suppressed through force.
He said the constitution has been largely restored and a historic democratic transition has taken place in Pakistan.
