LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) on Monday proposed three names for the slot of caretaker Chief Minister of the Punjab, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
The PPP’s nominees for the caretaker CM Punjab include renowned lawyer and human rights activist Asma Jahangir‚ former District Nazim Lahore Mian Amir Mahmood and ex Chief Secretary Hafeez Randhawa.
The opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmad told media that these name had been selected on the basis of these peoples’ impartiality and honesty, adding that these names were sent through a letter to the Chief Minister.
Raja Riaz said that by proposing these names PPP proved that it is a democratic loving party.
