ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani on Tuesday reiterated need to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia through enhancing parliamentary ties and cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.Â
He was talking to Saudi Parliamentary delegation led by Dr. Abdullah Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia who visited Parliament House to call on Chairman Senate.
Chairman Senate observed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia traditional and historical linkages with one another and mutually share time tested bond of friendship.
Chairman Senate also underscored the need for enhanced parliamentary linkages between Parliaments of two sides.
He said that bilateral relation could be further cemented by increasing parliamentary exchanges.
Leader of the delegation thanked the Chairman Senate for extending warm welcome in the Parliament.

Members of the Pakistan- Saudi Arabia friendship group, Leader of the House in the Senate, Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq, Senator Kalsoom Perveen, Senator Ch. Tanveer, and Senator Saud Majeed were also present during the meeting.
Earlier, High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission also called on Chairman Senate to exchange views on matters of mutual significance and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
