ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Various parts of the Country will receive rain while snowfall is also likely at scattered places on Sunday and Monday, an official of Met Office said on Friday.
The official said that light to moderate intensity rainfall with snowfall over hills is likely at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Met Office official said that rainfall is forecast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, in Upper Punjab at Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the time span.
Rain-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions whereas snowfall likely in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree and Galiyat during the wet spell, he said.
The official said that westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the Country on Saturday due to which rain likely to occur in upper/central parts of the Country which would continue till Monday.
The official further said that this rain will be beneficial for Rabi crops.
